Universal Bypass is unmaintained. Check out FastForward, which is a continuation of this project.

Install Universal Bypass

Microsoft Edge

Get it on Microsoft Edge Addons

Recommended because Universal Bypass stays entirely up-to-date. For once, Microsoft is doing something right.

Google Chrome, Chromium, & co.

  1. Download Universal Bypass for Chromium-based browsers.zip.
  2. Extract this zip file in a convenient folder. (You can't delete this folder for as long as you want to use Universal Bypass. After all, you can't load an extension that you have deleted.)
  3. Open chrome://extensions in a new tab.
  4. Enable "Developer mode" at the top-right.
  5. Click the "Load unpacked" button that just appeared.
  6. Select the folder where you just extracted the zip.

FAQ: Why is Universal Bypass not on the Chrome Web Store?

Mozilla Firefox

Get it on Firefox Add-ons

Firefox users get definitions updates via extension updates.

Another browser?

Internet Explorer, Safari, and Pale Moon don't support the WebExtensions standard and one Universal Bypass is more than enough for me to maintain.

Opera has proven not to care about add-ons. I've tried. Plus, their browsers are riddled with ads, so you better just get a browser by a serious/respectable company.

Brave wouldn't work because of this issue.

If you're using Android, I'd usually suggest Firefox for Android, but almighty Mozilla said "you don't need extensions on Android," so the new alternative would be Kiwi Browser, which is Chromium-based.

If you're using a browser that's not mentioned, shoot me an email at [email protected].
